SS 106 Personal Prophecy
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
An introduction to the reality and administration of the gift
of prophecy. Five dimensions of prophetic ministry; pitfalls to
avoid; how to judge and respond to personal prophecy; personal
prophecy in and out of the local church context; what is prophetic
and what is “plain weird”; unnecessary “Pentecostal
baggage”; idiosyncrasies to avoid; how to hear the voice
of the Lord and effectively and safely minister to others.
SS 107 Prophetic Dimensions
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
An examination of the prophetic dimension beyond the gift of prophecy;
having a prophetic “mind” and worldview; the prophetic
dimension as it relates to strategic thought and tactical strategy
for kingdom expansion; the prophetic dimension as it relates to
all power structures of the church and the world; engaging both
the church and governmental systems with the revelatory mind of
God; producing transformation and reformation through manifestation
of the prophetic mind at personal, corporate, and world levels.
SS 108 The Prophet: Understanding the
Person and Gift
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
Ministering in personal prophecy is a microscopic fraction of
what it means to be “prophetic.” This course examines
the essence and scope of prophetic ministry from a Christ-centered
perspective; the psychol-ogy of a prophet, the prophetic temperament,
prophetic relationships, how God prepares a prophetic vessel,
what does it mean to have a prophetic testimony, the prophet and
the local church, prophetic motiva-tion and consciousness.
SS 109 How to Interpret Dreams and Visions
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
Keys to unlocking the meaning of dreams and visions; unbridled
subjectivism is rampant in the charismatic segment of the church
universal. Does God still speak in dreams and visions? A strong
emphasis is placed on biblical accuracy and not elevating subjective
experiences above the Word of God; three possible sources of a
dream; what is a legitimate “vision”; using the Word
as the interpretive key; local church and leadership protocols;
pitfalls to avoid. Students are encouraged to bring their own
dreams in (written form) for “workshop” sessions of
application.
SS 110 Apostolic and Prophetic Strategies
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
An in depth examination of the ministries of apostle and prophet
and the dimensions of an apostolic and prophetic mind relating
to building local churches, establishing missions and extending
the kingdom; the necessity of each ministry; differences between
a pastorally dominated model of ministry and an apos-tolic-prophetic
model; how to get along with each other; different concepts of
what a local church is--what it looks like and what it is supposed
to accomplish.
SS 111 The Indwelling
Spirit
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
This course awakens the believer to the reality, vitality, and
necessity of the indwelling Spirit: God is in you of a truth,
the hope of glory (Col. 1:27). Attempting to live out Christianity
without an appropriated reality of the Person of the Indwelling
Spirit is destined to be a tedious bore and failure. It will result
in either pride of achievement of the Adamic nature or depression
and hopelessness in the impossibility of meeting the standard
of the high calling. The indwelling Spirit makes Christianity
viable. Without Him, Christianity is an oppressive form of religion.
Issues surrounding the baptism in the Holy Spirit are also covered.
SS 112 Apostolic and
Prophetic Reform
Instructor: Stephen Crosby
This course examines
the need for the recovery of a Christ-centered and New Covenant
foundation in the emerging prophetic-apostolic movement. Themes
of worship and praise, prayer and intercession, prophetic intercession,
prophetic acts, spiritual warfare, fathers and sons, authority-submission,
headship, “apostolic alignment,” the set man, spiritual
“covering,” apostles, prophets and more are re-examined
for biblical validity and application from a New Covenant perspective.
